We LOVE Holland America but this cruise and this ship makes us want to change despite our three-star Mariner status with only a few days to make four-star it would be a shame to change cruise lines. Also, we sent our customer survey to Holland America two days after docking in Tampa and have as of nearly two weeks later have never received a reply from them...I'm thinking that instead of hiring a CEO that never worked in the cruise industry that they need to replace him -- Orlando Ashford certainly is leading this cruise line down a path that it will never recover. Just my opinion.

This ship has the best crew I have experienced and any cruise line!

Great 7 day trip. Lots of wonderful food and friendly staff and guests. Nice ports of call overall. Guatemala was the only down side because there was not much to do.

This is very much a cruise that will be exactly what you make it. You can either be board and say there is nothing to do or go make your own enjoyment. Whether that is reading, getting some sun, making new friends or relaxing with old ones, Rotterdam is a great place to do it but you need to understand this is NOT like the other cruise lines.

The ship, staff and services were perfect, no problems what so ever. Such a clean ship. Couldn't anchor in Grand Cayman due to Ports being closed due to seas, but was refunded by Holland America. Great entertainment , just wish WiFi was free for passengers and crew.

All in all this was a very good cruise. This was the smallest cruise ship I have been on and the longest cruise I have been on, I hated for it to end. I would recommend this ship and itinerary.

We were surprised by the lack of daytime music, lack of activities on board and a rather dull Dining Room menu.

HAL did an outstanding job once again, crew and staff were great. A big thumbs up to Ahmad, Kryst, Hasta, Tiyo, Voltaire, (Jelena in the spa) Aries, Sonia and (Michael beverage utility) These crew memebers made our cruise very enjoyable, and should be given recognition for their positive attitudes through the cruise.

Just wrapped up a 7 day western Caribbean cruise with HAL on the ms Rotterdam with my wife, and we had a great time. The staff was amazing, the food choices and quality were great! This was our first cruise, but it won’t be our last The Rotterdam is showing it’s age, but the few minor issues we had were very quickly addressed, and everyone went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed it. It’s a smaller ship, so it didn’t have a ton of things to do on board, but what it had was very good. If you cruise on this ship, find a table in the Lido Market served by Ahmad. He would greet my wife and I, as well as the other couple we were with by name every morning, and had a very infectious smile. Absolutely could not help but be put in a good mood when Ahmad was around Thank you, HAL! You will see us again

The staff on board were amazing! Onboard activities were good, but limited as it’s a smaller ship. Food was excellent. Did I mention the staff? Could not have asked for a better first time experience

We were promised a 25.00 per person credit that we did not receive. We were told they couldn't reach our cruise connections customer service so we did not receive our 50.00 in free cash.

Enjoyed the cruise, specially the dining and cleaning personnel did a fantastic job. The entertainment (comedians, the Adagio, the Jazz Quartet) were also very good.

We had to avoid two port calls due to extreme weather, however, we were always kept safe and comfortable, and an unplanned overnight stay in New York turned out to be the highlight for both passengers and crew.

This was a very nice trip with a great crew on board. The entertainment was lacking.

The service and food were excellent and the crew was mostly accommodating. The seating in the MainStage and Wanjang theater are not organized well and uncomfortable to me. Also the bedding was uncomfortable to me and I didn't sleep well. However, others that I traveled with didn't have the same complaints. Felt bored on the days at sea and could have used some better entertainment. If you didn't get to the MainStage early enough, you didn't get a seat. All in all, I did enjoy the cruise and I will register for another in time.

Staff was outstanding! My room Stewart always called me by my first name. Never at any time did a staff member NOT acknowledge me with a smile and friendly greeting Truly wonderful

Everyone on the Rotterdam should be congratulated for their level of customer service. I did not encounter one person that wasn't eager to assist in any way they could.
