Review summary
Pros.
We enjoyed the ports.
On Roseau, Dominica Elise, with SHAPE gave us a wonderful walking tour of the historic district. This should not be missed. She is very knowledgeable and a good communicator.
On St Maarten, we had David with Bernard Tours. Great 4 hour tour of both French and Dutch sectors. Informative and good cross section of the island.
Food
The food in the dining room was very good. The Pinnacle was even better. Finally, Le Cirque was one of the best meals we ever had. A+ overall.
That said, the buffet in the Lido had some luke warm to cold dishes. HAL needs to work on this issue.
Staff
Our cabin crew and the crew in general were just first rate. They we both pleasant and helpful.
Entertainment
The entertainment was below par. Although the singers were good, the dancing production looked amateurish. The country act and the comedy were not very good. This whole aspect should be improved.
Condition.
Generally, the ship condition was good. Although the staff keeps the ship well maintained, Rotterdam is due for a major renovation.
Exercise Facility - Although the equipment was well maintained, it was old and not up to normal standards with other cruise lines.
Overall - We had a great time and would highly recommend this cruise.
