Excellent cruise line, great itinerary and delicious dining.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We had an 11am arrival time and had to wait about 1/2 hour until the ship was cleared or ready, but we were still onboard about 11:45 in time for a nice lunch on the Terrace deck.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
All of the dining was wonderful, the service could not have been better, and we even had a couple extra nights in the specialty restaurants.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
We used the Casino, which is really pretty poor with older machines and many not even working, and the putting green, which was nice. Oceania really needs to upgrade the Casino area. We also attended several Port Lectures and they were very good.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
We felt the evening shows were only okay, but the musicians around the ship were very good.
Children's Programs
We would never take a child on an Oceania cruise. It caters to adults and we like it that way.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
All of the service onboard is EXCELLENT and delivered with a smile.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship was VERY clean and well maintained.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
The cabin was very nice and we were glad that it had a larger walk-in shower than it used to have before the renovation. The closet is in an awkward location next to one of the beds, but I can't think of where else it could be. There were plenty of drawers around the cabin for all our things. Compared to other cruise lines, these are beautiful Veranda cabins.
The ship was docked right in the heart of the city and the approach to the city was lovely. We did an excursion to the Bazaar, toured around town and saw both sides of Istanbul, took a ferry across the Bosphorus, and saw the old palace, etc. Good tour through O.
We stopped in Dubrovnik twice and on this stop we took and O tour out to the countryside to an old mill. It was nice to see some of the surrounding area.
Valletta is such a cool place with so much history. On last previous cruise we took the island tour and it was very interesting. This time we went into town on our own.
