We went during Thanksgiving week. Embarkation was easy. We were on the ship in about an hour. The food was good. I was traveling alone with 3 kids, ages 12, 14 and 17. We were seated with 3 other couples at dinner with no kids. They could've done a better job with matching, but we enjoyed the food and conversation. Most were there with families so this was not a good cruise for someone single. The 17-year-old had a blast -- we never saw him. The teenagers had plenty to do and met lots of friends. The younger kids enjoyed the shows and entertainment. Key West was boring for kids since it is mostly shopping. The teen rented a moped and drove around the island. The only thing to do in Belize is to take a ship excursion. We went snorkeling at Shark Ray Alley. It was good but expensive. The island was too touristy - everything was overpriced. IF you can book an excursion yourself, I would recommend it but it takes an hour by boat so you run the risk of not getting back to the ship in time. Cozumel was great. We rented mopeds for $40 for the day. The Chankanaub Marine Park is excellent. Swimming with the dolphins is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for kids-expensive but worth it. You must reserve this yourself. We were on the waiting list but went to the park and got in. You get to even ride on a dolphin. Take your own video camera if possible. The ship's excursion is not a swim! There is lots to do in the park and it is only $10.00 to get in. If you are with kids, purchase the drink cards. It's worth the $30 if they order any drinks at all. You can share a card with all your kids. This was a fun trip but if you are single, I would recommend traveling with a friend if you are going during the holidays. The kids have plenty to do to stay entertained during the day and a teen will love this trip!
