Sailed on Royal Caribbean for the 6th time,(14th, overall) and had a splendid time. Brought my 80-year-old-+ parents who were quickly discovered on the ship for being married 61 years, and they felt like the ship's stars. As far as the ship goes, we were very pleasantly surprised with our stateroom size and the quietness within. Our room steward, Anthony, was one of the best we have had. We had early seating at dinner, which we always prefer, and again were lucky to have Chetan as our waiter. This man is a trooper. He had surgery in Cozumel, woke up at 4 P.M. made it back to the ship with some help, and was serving us dinner at 6 P.M. This man loves his job and if you sail soon, try to request him. Ports of call were all so-so. Key West seemed like a fun town and had some great sights to see. The other two, Grand Cayman and Conzumel are shoppers' delights, but don't look for any special prices are bargaining because the cities are tighter than snare drums in their pricing. Embarkation and disembarkation went smooth for us, although I hear that wasn't the case for everyone. Lastly, I want to address this issue with Texans. Being that this ship departs from Galveston, it is a perfect getaway for Texas' people to drive on down and have a great vacation. Being a California native, I have not had a whole lot of dealings with Texans in the the past. I was very surprised. These people were the nicest, sweetest, friendliest and the most polite people that I have encountered on any of my trips in the past. They want to have a good time and are there for fun and games. This nonsense about having to sing songs about Texas is bullxxxx. I sang at the top of my voice and laughed with these people till I thought I would split a gut. Go Royal Caribbean and see ya all next year, ya hear!!!!!Bob WintersRWinters@socal.rr.com
