Review summary

This was one of the best experiences of my life. I went solo and would highly recommend for anyone who wants to feel like family on their own vacation. The staff, facilities and amenities were top notch. I'm already looking forward to my next cruise!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
So easy to get through security and board the ship with the new medallion system.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The main dining room was always spot on and I looked forward to it every night. The Crown Grille was nice as well and the steak was delicious. The buffet in Horizon Court was always full of options and top notch food.

Wheelhouse Bar (Pub Lunch)

5 out of 5

Love the vibe of the Wheelhouse Bar. The piano player was truly talented and the atmosphere was very welcoming.

Club 6

4 out of 5

DJ ReRe was awesome, but there never seemed to be a lot of people there.

Symphony Dining Room

5 out of 5

Loved each and every time I ate here. Staff was amazing and the food was delicious! So many options!

Mermaid's Tail

4 out of 5

Very busy as we were sailing away, but the bartender made good drinks.

Horizon Court

5 out of 5

Good food - always well stocked.

International Café

4 out of 5

Lots of options for a late night snack.

Crown Grill

5 out of 5

Excellent steak and service.

Crooner's Bar

5 out of 5

Good drinks, good music (Michelle Jolly?)

Vista Lounge

5 out of 5

Loved this space. Bingo was amazing and so much fun!

Vines Wine Bar

5 out of 5

Good wine flights.

Sea View Bar

5 out of 5

Great views!

Outrigger Bar

4 out of 5

Good service

Bellini Bar

5 out of 5

Excellent bartender and perfect cocktails!

Alfredo's Pizzeria

5 out of 5

Usually a wait, but the pizza was good.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There was so much to do at any given moment. I could've stayed another week and still wouldn't have made my way through all of the activities!

Hot Tubs

4 out of 5

Too many kids in the middle hot tubs (why were their parents letting them stay in a hot tub for hours at a time?!), but the adult only ones were great.

Fine Arts Gallery

3 out of 5

Friendly staff, but the art was overpriced.

Casino

4 out of 5

Smelled a bit like smoke, but the Pirate Queen tournament was very fun!

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Staged shows were good and entertaining. The trivia in the Princess Live could've been better. It seemed a little thrown together at certain points.

Princess Live

4 out of 5

The Princess Live Theatre seemed a little outdated, but there was lots of good things going on all the time.

Princess Theater

4 out of 5

Great show, but some of the seats were broken so that made for limited seating.

SeaWalk

5 out of 5

Amazing and terrifying at the same time.

Children's Programs

Travelling alone - no children.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Amazing staff all around! After the first few days, I recognized certain members of the staff and they remembered who I was as well. It made me feel very welcomed and important!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
It was a beautiful ship and the screens at each elevator bank was very helpful with pointing me in the right direction.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The room was nice, but with the beds pushed together, I bonked my head every day on the upper beds that were attached to the wall. :( Also, I didn't receive a Princess Patter each day. The steward missed the last 3 days for some reason...

Ship tip

Go to the Bellini Bar. It has amazing views of the Piazza and the drinks were delightful! Also, take the Sunset Catamaran Excursion in St. Thomas. It's worth it.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

4 out of 5
No excursion. The directions to get to the port were a little misleading.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

5 out of 5
Gorgeous island with a beautiful beach. No excursion.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
A beautiful port! I did some sightseeing on my own and then went on the Sunset Catamaran excursion and it was the most magical experience I've ever had!

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
I went to Orient Beach in a taxi (I waited for others who wanted to join so the fare would be cheaper). I highly recommend buying a set of beach chairs with an umbrella. It was worth the thirty dollars. The most beautiful water I've ever seen in my life!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very easy getting through customs. I only had to wait in line a total of 20 minutes after I walked off the ship.
