Had a wonderful time aboard the Regal Princess.  Everything was top notch except our experience in the Crown Grill.  Although the food was amazing, it took an hour and 2 minutes from when we were seated until our entry arrived.

Lots to do on board The shows and entertainment were great.  Only got off the ship in St Martin.

Cabin / Stateroom
They were not kidding when they said "Obstructed View". We had a terrific view of the life boats. Otherwise the cabin was first rate.

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida
This was merely our embark/disembark point. Lived in Florida for several years. Not a place we would "explore".
Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)
Did not get off the ship
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Make sure you put on a high SPF sun screen, wear a hat and stay hydrated. We only got off the boat for a few minutes to explore the shops right by the dock. Since this is a US possession you can bring back all the booze you want from here.
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
Rode the water taxi to town, worth the $4.00 per person. Sat at one of the shore side bistros in the marina and had a drink. Walked around the shopping district and went back to the ship. All the liquor shops have terrific prices. They all tell you you can bring back 5 bottles. US Customs only allows on per person "Duty Free"

If our experience in the Crown Grill was typical I would not advise eating there. Yes, make your reservation for specialty dining as soon as you settle in your cabin. We waited until day before we wanted to dine and earliest seating we could get was 9:00PM and it took an hour for our food to come.
