this cuise was relaxing by AutumnB35695714

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Radiance of the Seas / Destination: Mexico

overall, i was impressed with the service. i did not care for the excursions offered for the ensenada trip and my 11yrold boy did not care for the kids section becuase he said it was baby stuff. I think this depends on your child and mine is pretty independent and mature. I would recommend this cruise for a person who like to mingle.

Best cruise vacation ever by TimS10

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Radiance of the Seas / Destination: Mexico

It has been quite a while since I have taken a cruise, but it seemed as if the whole process of boarding the ship and leaving the ship was much more streamlined and simple. We loved the way we were treated and all of the activities on the ship. We are already starting to plan our next cruise, the only problem is deciding what cruise to choose.

Oscar the waiter was the best. Great service. makes people feel special, no words to describe how grateful I feel with the head waiter and even the captain for allowing us to sit on his table. My daughter had the best birthday ever. THANK YOU!

Fabulous Cruise!! by PhyllisB3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Radiance of the Seas / Destination: Mexico

Beautiful ship; lots of glass for viewing the ocean from many vantage points; easy to find various venues on the ship; gorgeous atrium area; felt very "roomy", yet 'intimate."

A Very Lovely Cruise by DanielM12

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Radiance of the Seas / Destination: Mexico

The ship is huge and has everything you could possibly expect on a ship. The only downside to me was that it only has 3 Jacuzzis.

a good cruise by HartmutW

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Radiance of the Seas / Destination: Mexico

we had a good and relaxing cruise. We were surprised how much alcohol was consumed on this ship by its passengers. The pool areas were noisy and too crowded.

great ship by CarlosM

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Radiance of the Seas / Destination: Mexico

Great Ship fun for all ages and huge there was so much to do, disco too "rawdy" eventhough wife and self go out all the time, however be careful lots of drunken punks raising hell and being fresh even in elevators.., I had a couple of close calls desrespectful to wife... disco defenately needs a "bauncer" also music needs improvment too much hip hop

The Best & Most Wonderful Cruise!! by GuillerminaM

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Radiance of the Seas / Destination: Mexico

My sister, daughter and I just returned from the most fantastic cruise to Baja aboard the Radiance of the Seas. The ship was spectacular with so many events going on all the time. Our stateroom was surprisingly roomy but most important to us, was its cleanliness. In fact, the entire ship was spic & span & always gleaming. Meals were wonderful and the food always delicious. The personnel aboard ship were incredible! Very courteous and always willing to make our trip enjoyable. Music, entertainment, pool areas, dance areas, athletic facilities -- the best. I can't remember when we've had such a wonderful and memorable time as this. We did not want the cruise to end. We are all anxious to book a return cruise in the very near future. We cannot say enough about this wonderful and enjoyable experiance. We would (and have) recommended this cruise, ship and cruise line to everyone we know back home and are looking forward to cruising together again real soon.

AMAZING couples getaway cruise! by CourtneyA

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Radiance of the Seas / Destination: Mexico

We can't stop talking about the amazing time we had on this cruise! From the prestine interior and exterior of the boat to the incredible, first-class service we received. The staff were there for absolutely anything we needed and always with a smile. The food was incredible - including the Seattle's Best Coffee Bar in the atrium. We did not partake in the specialty restaurants but the food in the main dining room was so amazing it did not feel like we missed out at all. We also took advantage of room service for breakfast - always delivered on time and exactly how we wanted it. The most amazing part for us though was the staff - one of our bags did not make it to the San Diego Airport and the Radiance staff went above and beyond to help us find the bag and they went to pick it up at the Cabo airport (our first port of call). They also helped my husband out with a Tuxedo for the formal dinner and gave us T-shirts and little toiletries bags to help. They kept us up do date on the status of our bag the entire time and it helped ease some of the stress. The length of this cruise is great for a quick getaway and the activities on board kept us entertained. We enjoyed the Martini Making Class and the Dancing Under the Stars Party. The evening entertainment was AWESOME and we recommend checking out the Quest - adult scavenger hunt - hilarious! The drinks were also great and reasonably priced! We could not have asked for a better experience on a cruise. My husband and I have both cruised several times and we agree that this tops them all.

Our first but not our last cruise!! by MaryR17

Sail date: /
Ship: Radiance of the Seas / Destination: Mexico

The Radiance was stunning, immaculate, welcoming and inspiring. Whether hanging out with a festive group by the pool or enjoying a quiet time alone reading on deck, this cruise provided the perfect balance. There's something for everyone. The shows were excellent, particularly the Elton John show and the juggler who was amazingly talented. The pianist at the piano bar was so very talented and personable, he knew every song and made each one fun, very charismatic. We also enjoyed disembarking to Cabo, all went smoothly. We would do this cruise again in a heartbeat!!

repositioning from Alaska by LynneA1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Radiance of the Seas / Destination: Alaska

ship very clean. Staff very attentive, captain has a good crew, very funny and morale is high. Waiters and head waiter extremely helpful. Found out we like curry and every night there was a curry side dish in additional to main entree etc. Liked the itinerary but would have been nice to cruise Inside Passage in day light. Captain took ship close to Hubbard Glacier for great view - much closer than Celebrity ship we were on before.

Great overall experience by LynnF2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Radiance of the Seas / Destination: Mexico

The ship was beautiful and had a lot to offer to every type of traveler. I cannot compliment the staff enough. They were so friendly and helpful and took care of my every need with pleasure. They truly made the trip special. Our stateroom exceeded expectation (we went with the cheapest and weren't expecting much) The food in the main dining room was superb, I thought the buffet could use a bit of improvement, but overall not bad. The town of Ensenada wasn't super impressive and Cabo San Lucas was nice, but not quite as fantastic as I was expecting. I wish that the pools could have been a little bigger, the were very crowded on both of our days at sea, but I really enjoyed the solarium, it was very pretty and relaxing, actually my favorite area of the ship. So, overall I highly recommended this ship and the Radiance of the Seas, but maybe with different stops along the way.

Great anniversary cruise by DebbieL2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Radiance of the Seas / Destination: Mexico

Great cruise - my first in 10 years since our honeymoon cruise in the mediterranean. This one was much better as it had a wider variety of people and the ship is much nicer overall. Seems a 4 night cruise out of san diego to cabo brings lots of people over 30, who live in california mostly. many groups of women and of course lots of heavy drinkers - i suppose that's typical on most cruises since they don't have to drive. this one didn't seem as much of a party cruise as the carnival one did, hence our choice of Royal Caribbean. They have a great adults only pool area on this one and the nicer restaurants are completely worth the money. Staff on the cruise was excellent. Boarding was super smooth - both getting on & off ship.

RCCL Doesn't Honor Low Price Guarantee by DonnaG

Sail date: /
Ship: Radiance of the Seas / Destination: Mexico

Found lower pricing on-line, but RCCL refuses to issue on-board credit for price difference citing the lower rate is a special rate for new bookings. Fooey! So RCCL likes to slap their existing customers in the face by not matching the lower rate. Their price guarantee is bunk as they will probably make all lower rates some sort of special rate for new bookings.

A real treat! by SuzanneB6

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Radiance of the Seas / Destination: Alaska

My husband and I had previously been on a Royal Caribbean ship and had not been terribly impressed but we decided to try it once more. I'm glad we did. Radiance of the Seas was such a wonderful ship! I would definitely go again if I got the opportunity.
