Review summary
This is my second relocation cruise on the Radiance - the first being Hawaii to Vancouver northbound in May, and now southbound in September. Given the year's Pacific hurricanes and humidity, I will opt in the future to go in May. But the cruise was wonderful - so relaxing. If you don't like low key days at sea this is NOT the cruise for you! Great little ship built for cruisers, not those looking for tons of action or shopping. The shore excursions are a bit pricey and for most ports, you don't really need to do one. As always our service was wonderful. My only negative was the "movies" shore excursion in Kauai which was very disappointing and extremely overpriced. The "snorkel and dolphins" excursion aboard the Body Glove catamaran in Kona was the best and worth every penny! John Blair, the cruise director, was excellent - a throwback to the "old" CDs that had lots of talent and were entertainers - and he has several fun, approachable team members that made karaoke, The Quest, etc. hysterical and not to miss. Only wish I could have stayed on for the next leg to Sydney - maybe another time.Embarkation
