Review summary

Our favorite port was Ketchikan. We had a local native guide.

The least favorite part was all the jewelry shops, and at EVERY PORT! Most, in fact, are owned by the cruise lines! Ice Strait Point was never a stop or destination until Royal Caribbean constructed it!

We did, however, love the cruise. Hubbard Glacier was absolutely awesome!!

Food, room, entertainment was all first class.

Cabin / Stateroom

More room than we expected. Always kept clean. Balcony could use some attention. However, the steward was saddled with 18 rooms! Bathroom was also larger than we had been told to expect.

Ship tip

Choose 'my time' dining. We always had the same table and wait staff. They were most attentive and eager to serve.

Icy Strait Point museum is great, but make sure to go to Hoonah village. It's a keeper. So is the Office bar: great food and cheap beer!

I had read about so many folk who had been on a Skagway tour. They all touted their driver/guide. Ours, however, was short on facts, and just flat wrong on others!
