Review summary

We went on this ship out of San Diego in October 2009. It was our first RRCL cruise and we were very impressed. The ship was very modern -- staff were great -- we even took a tour in Mexico, which we never do on a cruise -- we had a blast! Our cabin was fabulous -- very comfortable. We were not overly impressed with the evening shows. They did the main show once a night and it was hard to get an idea of the show schedule.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food quality was great -- the only place we were not impressed with was the Windjammer Cafe. It just got boring each day. We loved Portifino and Chops. We also loved the Diner on the upper deck towards the back of the ship -- out of the way and had great outdoor seating.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
We were not very impressed with the evening shows.

Ship Quality

The ship size was perfect -- We love Mega Ships -- this one was not too large or not too small. The cruise was full, but we never felt crowded, except in the Windjammer Cafe.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We have been on Carnival, Disney, Princess and now RCCL. We felt this cabin was the one of the best we have ever seen. It was laid out very smart -- great storage -- very comfortable -- loved it!

Pros: Our Cabin was Perfect -- Well decorated, modern -- Food Areas were great -- Chops and Portifino are well worth it -- Loved the Spa & Adult Only Pool Area

Cons: Main Dining Room not that great for (2) people -- My time dining had us sitting at a table for (2) which was fine, but it was 6 inches from the next table of (2) so on and so forth.
