Review summary

This is a cruiseline for those that like to get dressed EVERY night. They say formal and casual - should be called formal and formaler. You are treated like a criminal after 6PM if you do not have a jacket on and formal dress. Banished to the 9th floor - cant eat in the dining room or see the show.  Choices of Buffet or 1 dining room included. Drinks are top dollar with no drink packages available. Tour excursions are not all good and complaints go unanswered. Bathroom is the smallest I have ever been in.

You belong on a Carnival cruise, no offense meant to Carnival.

If you don't want to dress for dinner don't sail with Cunard go with the rest of the peasants to Royal Caribbean or Thompson

The usual complaining when the customer failed to read the guidelines both in brochure and online! It's their own fault

For non-formal nights, smart dress is adequate (with a jacket for a man).

I love dressing up on cunard

Don't understand people whinging about the dress code - it is clear when you book and you know what is involved. Seems like an excuse to complain. More than adequate provision is made for those who decide to flout the dress code. It is the height of arrogance and bad manners from those who expect the cruise line to conform to their attitudes rather than accept that the ship board conventions.

There ARE drinks packages but it is cheaper to choose your own selection by ringing them.

How did you not knnow that Cunard is a fairly formal cruise line. It's always better to do some research before you book. i know there are casual cruises out there. I'm sorry you were disappointed.
