festive caribbean?

Sail Date: December 01, 2010

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Balcony

This was sold as a festive caribbean adventure, I suppose if you are pushing 90 it was. Very dull ship if you want to do more than read a book all day. Food was medicore at best. They handled the noro virus with all the finess of a drill sargent.

Pros: very elegant ship

Cons: boring sea days, no music by pools

Recommends Queen Mary 2? No.

Food and Dining
Food was below average, sad to say but Carnival has better food. Service in Brittania Club was excellent.
Very little to no daytime activities, over crowded dance lessons, knitting circles, that's about it.
Service and Staff
Any staff woring on tips were excellent, other staff such as pursers, desk, people organizing port exits, very rude.
Children's Programs
nothing very organized, kids just took over the pool on deck 12, cannot blame them, there was nothing else for them to do.
Cabin / Stateroom
Beds were awful, very old lumpy
