The voyage was exemplary from leaving New York through arrival at Southampton. Our tablemates were a delightful English couple and young Scottish woman- we looked forward to dining with them each night. We enjoyed lunch in the Golden Lion Pub and Todd English. Breakfast was always room service or buffet.

We thoroughly enjoyed visiting the library each morning . I selected books while my husband used the computers to grade papers for an online summer school class he was teaching.

We had a premium balcony room and opened the doors each afternoon to take naps. We enjoyed plays, shows and lectures.

This is truly a civilized way to travel- next time I will take the ship round trip.

Pros: Completely the opposite of being packed on an airplane

Cons: The first night they played "New York, New York, repitevetively on a speaker- kind of creepy.

Recommends Queen Mary 2? Yes!
