Having seen many ships from the Carnival "Fun Ships" to the behemoths of the Royal Caribbean line, my recent experience on Cunnard's Queen Mary 2 ranks right up at the top of the list. Understated elegance is an appropriate way to describe Her. Without being gaudy or flamboyant, the QM2 is the personification of class. Every meeting room, lounge, and public area, from the Commodores Club to the Britannia Restrurant, from the library, to the computer education center to the Canyon Ranch Spa and health club, exhudes quality. The service was excellent and attentive. And the food was, well, how many ways can you say excellent. Although the transatlantic crossing was a bit rough, the size of the QM2 made the trip quite comfortable. I would guess that any Mediterranian or Caribbean trips would provide calmer seas, but little on board the ship could be improved upon.

Pros: Quality of the service

Cons: Bad weather, unfortunately.
