Never Again

Sail Date: March 01, 2008

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Beautiful ship with a multitude of venues and wonderful entertainment, overshadowed by poor sanitary practices and rude staff. Bathroom was dirty upon arrival including floors, black mold around soap dish, dirty shower curtain. Bathroom glasses were never replaced in the 10 days we were on the ship. Room steward unable to trace/rectify terrible moldy odor in bathroom; deck supervisor traced it to "no water in drain under sink allowing for bad air to come up into room." After experiencing respiratory problems, saw medical staff who dismissed moldy odor and decided we had the flu, although a flu test given to one of us was negative. Staff unable or unwilling to answer any questions; unable to even give directions to a specific location on the ship. Most common answer is "I don't know."

Pros: Abundance of venues, great entertainment

Cons: Dirty stateroom, poor housekeeping, unfriendly/unknowledgeable staff
