big ship with bad attitude
Queen Mary 2 Cruise Review to Canada, New England, New York
Ship: Queen Mary 2
Cabin Type: Oceanview
Traveled As: Large Group

FIRST OF ALL THE EMBARKATION PROCESS WAS HORRENDOUS. THE LINES HAD SEVERAL HUNDRED PEOPLE ON THEM AND IT TOOK ALMOST TWO HOURS TO GET PROCESSED. THERE WAS NO PLACE TO SIT
HAVING SAILED ON OVER 10 CRUISES WITH CELEBRITY WE WERE LOOKING FOWARD TO THE QM2 AND HOPED IT WOULD BE AN "UP SCALE" BUT IT WAS DISAPPOINTING IN MANY WAYS.
WE SAILED TO NOVA SCOTIA OVER LABOR DAY AND SAILED THRU THE REMAINS OFA HURRICANE SHE SAILED VERY WELL AND WAS COMFORTAble in rough seas.
THE FOOD WAS GOOD IN THE DINING ROOM BUT EXCEPT FOR OUR WAITER WE FOUND THE SERVICE AND ATTIDUTE FROM MOST OF THE STAFF TO BE VERY POOR AND ALMOST RUDE. WE NEVER SAW OR MET OUR CAPT OR THE MAITRE D' OR OUR ROOM STEWARD.
IN THE FOOD COURT AREA IT WAS EVEN WORSE BECAUSE THERE WERE PLENTY OF PEOPLE STANDING AROUND BUT THEY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING.
THIS WAS SOMETIMES VERY ANNOYING BECAUSE MANY OF THE FOOD STATIONS WERE NOT MANNED AND THE WAY THEY WERE LAID OUT YOU COULD NOT REACH MANY OF THE ITEMS. FOR EXAMPLE, I ASKED FOR A
DIET SODA - SEVERAL TIMES AND NEVER GOT ONE
THIS WENT ON LIKE THIS THROUGH OUT THE CRUISE IN ALL OF THE PUBLIC AREAS AND MANY OF THE PASSENGERS WE MET SAID THE SAME THING.
THIS WAS DEFINATELY NOT AN UPSCALE OR EVEN PLEASANT VOYAGE
