A Perfect Cruise

Sail Date: January 01, 2007

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

We chose the eastern Caribbean cruise to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary & everything was just terrific. This cruise was fully booked but because of the QM2's size, we never ran into crowds, long lines, never had to wait more than seconds for elevators. The organization was top notch...only had to wait about 25 mins at embarkation in Ft Lauderdale (had comfortable seats while waiting) & disembarkation went quickly & smoothly.

Pros: We liked too many things to pick a favourite

Cons: No cons

Recommends Queen Mary 2? Yes!

Ship Quality
Everywhere on the ship was spic & span throughout the entire cruise. The pocket-size, fold-up map of the ship placed in our cabin was a great idea & very helpful--so didn't get lost in such a large ship. Decor was beautiful.
Food and Dining
Our restaurant was the Britannia & the food was FAB-U-LOUS...never left anything! Large selection of courses in the evening...difficult to make a decision as all choices were so good. Waiters really attentive & pleasant.
Cabin / Stateroom
Size of cabin was bigger than we expected & well laid out; the king-size bed & pillows were so comfortable; nice comfortable couch; nice size balcony had 2 chairs & small table; plenty of storage space; great shower & bathroom.
Service and Staff
We found the staff very pleasant & helpful...never snobby. Our cabin was always kept in excellent condition.
Night shows were excellent & there was a nice variety: beatlemania, comedy, dances from around the world, rock. The lectures/talks extremely interesting. The Planetarium shows super!
