Not the Cunard Line we Expected

Sail Date: August 01, 2012

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Singles/Friends

Room Type: Inside

The ship is beautiful and very seaworthy in bad weather. The wait staff was outstanding. The food was no more than adequate and the menus lacked originality. The musicians were some of the best we have ever heard- the string quartet, the cocktail and concert pianists, and the band Chanez- all terrific. A major port of call was changed 1 month prior to cruise and the new port was not equitable to the original port. Also the Excursion manager (who never bothered to speak to us) failed to correct a problem with an excursion we booked that ended up being not as described to us- basically calling us \"liars\". This treatment was despite the fact that we had booked an expensive excursion at every port.

Pros: The passengers (mostly British)

Cons: The Excursion Manager/Staff

Recommends Queen Elizabeth? No.

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
We have been on at least 25 cruises and the dining food was some of the worst in comparison.
Cabin / Stateroom
Beds very comfortable
Service and Staff
Excep for the cruise excursion staff- they were excellent
