If it were not for Hawaii and Hawaiian people, this trip would have been a total waste of time and money. On-ship lines were tiresome. Getting ashore or back aboard was a mess and even longer waiting lines. Our room was not clean when we came aboard and was not cleaned the entire trip. We had to clean the bathroom before using it initially; we did stat the week with clean sheets. Toilet paper was rationed. Shore excursions by NCL were poorly orginized. Personally scheduled excursions were great. I am ashamed of the fact that the ship is staffed with Americans!! Is this really a reflection of our work ethics or is the problem with leadership on the ship? After careful observation, I think the problem is with leadership onboard. Proper supervision is desperately needed -- I didn't see ANY supervision!

The room was a little smaller than we have had on other cruises but that was not too bad, the bed was not very comfortable and by comparison, should have been better.

I do not recommend NCL to anyone. If you can't pass up the Island schedule, then I recommend you take along some cleaning products and take good care of your towels, you may not get clean ones for the week. Also, plan to eat ashore as often as possible; the food will be better and not cost much (if any) more than the charges on the ship. Don't expect any pampering at all and don't wait for your number to be called to go ashore; just show up at the exit when you are ready to go. They are not orginized but are certainly controling. Also, make reservations for meals or not, it makes no difference, you may get in or you may not. Take along a great since of humor for survival!!!!!!!!

Sincerly, you will love Hawaii, Kauai, Maui, and Oahu -- wonderful people and marvelous scenery. There is no place on earth like Hawaii.
