Pride of Hawaii Cruise Review to Hawaii
Ship: Pride of Hawaii
Cabin Type: Oceanview
Traveled As: Family (older children)

Review SummaryWe sailed over July 4th and the service was just awful - it was hard finding a server to get a drink - the draft beer and fountain sodas tasted like plastic from the new lines. Getting dinner reservations were hard and we even had to wait up to 1 1/2 hours for the main dining room. We often ate at the buffet because of this and the food there was always the same and often ran out of the main items. Even getting things like silverware or cream for the coffee was a challenge. It was obvious that the crew were not happy with their jobs and never smiled or said Hello unless approached. Another thing was we saw the crew drinking and eating with the passengers which you would never see on another ship like Holland America. This was our sons first cruise and at 16 he was really looking forward to it but with the lack of service, poor food (NO midnight buffet) and getting kicked out of the teen club because the crew thought he was too old, and draining the hot tubs and pools by 9:00 pm I doubt if we will get him to cruise with us again.
Pros: Ports of Call
Cons: Service and food
