Our first cruise Wonderful Vacation
Pride of Hawaii Cruise Review to Hawaii
Ship: Pride of Hawaii
Cabin Type: Balcony
Traveled As: Couple

Review SummaryThe Ship is Beautiful, Clean, well kept, and has plenty of space. The decor emphasizes the islands perfectly. I was a bit disappointed with the food, service, and management . It didn't come near to what I was expecting, based on what I have heard in relation to "Cruises". We really enjoyed the freedom you have with the "Free Style" cruise. The food served in the dining areas the comes with the free style cruising is good, but nothing really spectacular, it is fast and convenient. The food in the Speciality restaurants, that you pay extra for was "exceptional" , "IF" you can get in. It seemed the ship overall was understaffed, and could not operate the restaurants to their full capacity. We were able to get into the French and the Italian restaurants, but never could get into the Cagneys, the steak house. If you have your heart set on dining in one or all of the specialty restaurants make reservations as soon as you board! A mistake we made (being our first cruise) was booking ourselves for shore excursions at every port, while we enjoyed the excursions, they can fill your whole day keeping you from experiences you could have on the ship.
