The ship and the ports visited are excellent with enough time in each port to see or do several things. The food and service was excellent in Le Bistro and Cagney's Steak House specialty restaurants, but of course there is a $10 to $20 surcharge per person and reservations are required. The food and service was also good in the Italian restaurant. The food and service in all the other restaurants, lounges, and bars, including the Jade Garden specialty restaurant, was fair to horrid. Dinner at these restaurants took over 2 hours most nights. Servers were nowhere to be found. Their attitude was poor and they were generally inattentive. Bread and water at the table were never refilled unless you asked. Drinks were consistantly mixed or served incorrectly, and very expensive. Cocktails were between $7.75 and $9.00.
Entertainment was also not up to previous cruises we had taken. One illusionist and one comedian entertained for several nights each. The "shows" consisted of a not too professional "On Broadway" musical review and amateur shows put on by the crew and the passengers (free entertainment for NCL). Not worth the cost.
