Huge disappointment

Sail Date: June 01, 2007

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Balcony

A good physical plant. Perhaps if the hotel manager and middle management were changed, the cruise might improve. The fixed gratuity system obviously eliminated any incentives for crew to provide a high level of service. At meals we were not offered any drink except water, got 5 pieces of bread for a table of 10 people, and were never offered a wine list, unless we asked. The few pleasant staff in the main dining room were apologetic for the general chaos, and looked heavily overworked.

Pros: Ports of call

Cons: Service, dining service, tours

Recommends Pride of Hawaii (RETIRED)? No.
