Ship itself was fine. Sports Deck was not layed out very well. The jogging track was not really usable as such. You had to dodge the people who were playing shuffleboard ect. Service was really unacceptable. When getting on board rooms were still being cleaned. We had to wait 3 hours for ours to be ready. They made everyone go to the Buffet for lunch where there were no tables available to sit and eat. When we finally got into our room it wasn't very clean. The mini refrigerator still had the prior occupants leftovers in it. Table on the balcony was stained. The bathtub was dirty. This Free Style Dining system leaves alot to be desired. It is very difficult to make reservations and the staff is not helpful. The hostess I heard one night seemed to be taking pleasure in telling people that they were full. We did get lucky and make it to Papa's Italian Kitchen twice. First time food and service was great. Second time forget it. It took 4 people to take our orders and I had to ask 3x for my one glass of wine. It finally came halfway thru dinner. Our server had not a clue as to what was going on. She tried to clear our table and end our visit before we had even received our main dinner. The Buffet food was very unappealing. The servers here would not refill the bins of food that were empy. They just stood around and talked with one another. Some of the labels on the food bins were missing. Most of the time we didn't know what we were eating. We got the distinct impression that the staff is very unhappy, all we heard from them was that they were quitting!! NCL management has got to look into this and correct it. With an itinerary like Hawaii you would think that they would want to give people the experience of a lifetime. Well...it was an experience alright. We wish we would have justed stayed on the island and not wasted our money on this cruise line. We won't be using NCL again.
