Recent cruise on the Pride of Hawaii was good. The ship is beautiful. The ports are great! For the most part the staff was pleasant and attentive. Food and entertainment was average.

Pros: Great ports of call, beautiful ship

Cons: Service in main dining room is somewhat lacking

Nawiliwili, Kauai
Tons to do here if you like to be outside and active. We did a helicopter ride which was amazing. We also tubed in the irrigation ditches. Loads of fun.
Don't Miss: Ditch tubing
Kahului, Maui
Be sure to visit Lahania. It is a very nice town on the sunny side of the island. Good shopping, good restaurants. Also, the Maui Ocean Center was intriguing.

Be sure to snorkel. We caught a bus from the beach shack which is located right across the street from the pier. For $20 each, we got roundtrip transportation to the beach and snorkeling equipment. You will definitely see lots of fish and sea turtles which are an endangered species. It was amazing!

Panewla Rainforest Zoo is a must see with the shore excursions from the ship. The tour guide, Thane, was excellent and knows all the animals. Thus, you get a better tour of the zoo and the animals come right up to the fence to him for petting.
