Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Oceanview

The ship itself was good. It is brand new and rides nicely. The layout is a bit odd. Hallways that end up in restaurants, you must go thru restaurants to get from front to rear on some decks. Ports of call timing are perfect. Ship seemed to be VERY shortstaffed, which affected everything from dining reservations to the pool closing early every night. Majority of crew seemed unpersonable and unaproachable. Great service was an individual crew thing, not a standard.

Pros: Ports of call

Cons: Service, Freestyle dining not too easy, crew attitude, common area cleanliness

Kailua-Kona, Hawaii
This is a tourist trap worth only a walk around and then back on the ship.
Don't Miss: Scuba or snorkeling tours
Kahului, Maui
Another great stop to go off on your own with a rental car. Lots to see on this island.
Don't Miss: Lahaina, Kihe, Up-Country

Hilo, Hawaii
Hilo is great because it is a close drive to the Volcanoe National Park. A MUST SEE! Also, Hilo town is very quaint and has many off the beaten path type shops and stores. Hamakua coast is a terrific scenic drive.
