Freestye Cruising just doesn't work.
a) Reservations were difficult to get, very frustrating in that many people all tried at the same time to get reservations.
b) Families and groups showed up with reservations, the staff stated that their reservation was earlier and denied them seating.
c) at the same time, a quick peak into the restaurants finds numerous empty tables.
d) the food quality was much better at the specialty restaurants; on other boats similar quality food is obtainable at all restaurants.
e) tables aren't cleaned quickly.
What's a cruise without a Midnight Buffet (yes, not even one midnight buffet!!)
Staff spoke openly about wanting to quit or describing the countdown to the number of days before they could leave the boat, the alternate story numerous staff described being trained for several weeks in a Baltimore suburb and then having to wait several more weeks before being allowed on the Hawaii.
Staff never attempted to learn guests names or preferences.
The ship doesn't allow smoking in most places except for the bars; going to a bar means sitting in a smoked filled area that may have great entertainment.
Pros: Public Rooms, Theater, Hawaii,
Cons: Anything related to Food or Service
