Fantastic Hawaiian Vacation

Sail Date: June 25, 2007

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Suite

The Pride of Hawaii was launched last year so it was practically brand new. Extremely clean an in exceptional condition. Our mini suite was the best. Ample space and very appealing. Looked forward to returing to the room for relaxation after a long day of touring. We had read some reviews complaining about Americans who work the ship. Our experience was direcly opposite. Everyone we came into contact with were courteous, polite and professional. They made us feel at home. Plenty of beach chairs available. The alcohol 2 fers (2 for 1) specials on different evenings at different locations were appreciated. Dissapointed that the ship did not pass by the volcano on the big Island of Hawaii that is flowing into the ocean.

Pros: The convience of a floating hotel while cruising from Oahu to 4 different Hawaiian islands

Cons: A basketball court on deck that astoundingly vibrates through the cabins. Extremely annoying when trying to nap in the day or sleep in the evening.

Recommends Pride of Hawaii (RETIRED)? Yes!

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
Free style dining experience was just what we were looking for. If we failed to make reservations, we always had the buffet to fall back on. The buffet had more than ample choices and was of exceptional quality.
Cabin / Stateroom
Mini suite with balcony was awesome, Full bath was more than expected. Plenty of xloset and drawer storage for all the clothes my wife brought along.
Service and Staff
Our room steward was the best. Warm, friendly, professional and a pleasure to talk to.
