So-So Cruise

Sail Date: October 01, 2007

Traveled As: Singles/Friends

Room Type: Inside

We sailed on this ship last January and could not beleive the condition it was in when we sailed again in October! It had not been kept up well, with stains on the carpets, dirty windows, and just a generally unkempt appearance overall. The food was ok; definitely better in the cover charge places, but still not worth the extra $20 a person. Staff was friendly but not terribly helpful and our room was never cleaned well. The excursion desk was very helpful and the excursions were wonderful! Althought the ship is beautiful and well appointed, it hasn't been kept up!We enjoyed the excellent entertainment!

Pros: Great Excursions, Great Entertainment

Cons: Dining was mediocre at best and ship is not clean enough

Recommends Pride of Hawaii (RETIRED) 545? No.

Ship Quality
Beautiful ship but not kept clean and sparkling. I liked the layout, though the decor seemed somewhat tacky in certain areas. I would have given it a higher rating if it weren't so dirty.
Cabin / Stateroom
Room was very nice and well appointed, but was not kept clean. Decor was ok. I liked the duvet. And you could adjust the air/heat to your own comfort level!
Loved the entertainment! Excellent singers and dancers and wonderful productions! Enjoyed the magician too! There were tons of onboard activities but we spent most of our time off the ship ('s Hawaii!) on some excellent excursions!
Food and Dining
Didn't like paying for mediocre food. Cagneys was excellent our first night, but when we went back several nights later and had the same meal, apparently a totally different chef made it; it was cold and greasy. Our servers were good though!
Service and Staff
Some staff were great and others were unfriendly. Inconsistant.
