Typical NCL failure

Sail Date: June 01, 2007

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Ship was dirty overall; so of defeats all the sanitation efforts!! Never had to talk to so many officers about the lack of service, all except the shore excursion staff sho were great. Room was supposedly cleaned by 1 PM and turned down at the same time so we had to crawl over the sofa bed to get to the balcony. Freestyly cruising is totally a joke.

Pros: Shore excursions and ports of call

Cons: everything else

Recommends Pride of Hawaii (RETIRED)? No.

Ship Quality
Ship was clearly not cleaned well or at all. Staterooms were dirty and no staff in sight.
Food and Dining
Freestyle cruising means the staff is free to not provide any service. Unless you wanted to eat at 9 PM, you had to use the buffet, which was worse than school food. Only decent meals we paid extra for.
Cabin / Stateroom
Rooms were smaller than on any other ship with poor layout for three people. Could not use balcony without climbing over the sofa bed as it was turned out at 1 PM. Room steward nonexistent!!
Service and Staff
One waitress in the bar and the ones in the pay extra dining room were great. Other bar staff could not make basic drinks or ran out of everything before the end of the cruise. Never heard of restocking???
Entertainment
Hardly any activites and could not see a show as we were waiting to eat somewhere!!
