Service not up to par

If you have never cruised before and/or if have never visited Hawaii, then maybe this cruise is for you. Otherwise, forget about it.

This was the poorest, least attentive service we have endured on a cruise. The all-American staff was quite poorly trained although some made efforts to be friendly. Most seemed to wish they were somewhere else.

Ports of call are great but NCL puts its emphasis on the ship itself. Excursions were overpriced, etc.

Pros: Beautiful ship

Cons: Poor. inattentive service, petty gouging

Recommends Pride of Hawaii (RETIRED)? No.

Service and Staff
Not good at all. Too touchy, feely ill trained staff members.
Food and Dining
Not up to usual cruise standards
Cabin / Stateroom
OK. Bigger bathroom than some ships.
Average if that evening entertainment. Music up on deck not any better
Ship Quality
The ship is great and beautiful. The wait staff needs work.
Dinner is an ordeal. Free-style doesn't work, especially with wait staff that is in no hurryor mind to get you out in time for shows, etc.
