A Big Let Down

Sail Date: October 01, 2006

Reviewed: 10 years ago

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Balcony

The ship way new and very nice. NCL is very boring.

Pros: The crew

Cons: They make you pay extra money for everything. To have a good meal you had to pay. They cut down on the dining menu. They charge you 15% service charge for the spa and beauty salon just for walking in the door. That goes to NCL. That is not the TIP.

Food and Dining
The food in the dining rooms was not very good. Very limited menu. The only times we had a good meal was when we went to a restaurant that you had to pay extra for.
Entertainment
Not much to do at all. No casino on the hawaii cruise. Very Very boring cruise line compared to others.
Children's Programs
Staff for childrens program was great. They need to have longer times for the kids program. Only open a couple of hours in a.m and two to three hours in the p.m. No program or baby sitting for children under two.We were told they would have baby sitting for under two in the cabins at night.
Ship Quality
Very clean in most area's. They did not empty the ash trays to often on deck 7.
Cabin / Stateroom
Very nice stateroom. Poor views of ports at every port. very loud working ports.
Service and Staff
The staff did try to go out of the way to help.
