Pride of America is a wonderful way to see the Islands of Hawaii. Unfortunately there are some problems with how the food service is handled. there were times when you could not get something to drink without going in the Prime Time Cafe and getting a takeout. On other crusies we were always able to get water or lemonade on deck without going into a specific cafe. I understand that they need to close down to take away food and get ready for the next meal but I was inside getting an omlette and my husband got our drinks and took them to the table we were going to sit at and when we tried to come back he was not allowed to come into the room to get his breakfast when it was still out and had not been taken away. Again on another ship they closed down one side and let people continue to get food.

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was OK but nothing outstanding. The convenience of Free Still dining times was bad. After waiting 30 - 40 minutes we were seated and saw many open tables. Why the wait - was it due to not enough servers? This happened 4 times.

Shows were good but there were multiple shows in different places scheduled at the same time. This kept you from attending more then one show each evening.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Staff with worked on the staterooms were wonderful very helpful and willing to get you something if you need it. Room Service was very good and friendly. The head staff in the cafeteria were not helpful at all. The waiters walking around with extra drinks were very nice and the man behind the pancake/waffles/buns was great and had a \"song\" each morning.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Layout of the ship was good and not hard to get around.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Room was very nice and size was good. However there was \"outdated\" bedding and TV.

Pros: Great tours

Cons: How food service was conducted and no help from the people in charge.

Recommends Pride of America? Yes!
