A Great Time in Hawaii

Sail Date: January 01, 2012

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Balcony

NCL has an excellent crew, food and entertainment. The only downside is their state rooms are very small and the Pride of America is an older ship with few "plush" amenities.

The tours were well organized and the bus drivers were very knowledgeable and fun.

Pros: The helicopter tour of the volcano and seeing the whales from the Helicopter.

Cons: The very small rooms.

Recommends Pride of America? Yes!

Cabin / Stateroom
Very small and tight. I guess you could look at the bright side and be happy that you can sit on the toilet, brush your teeth and shower all at the same time!
Ship Quality
Pretty blah here. It was clean but old and not very many amenities.
Food and Dining
Food was good but beware that the steaks are now what we're used to in the midwest.
Service and Staff
This staff was excellent. They were very helpful and friendly. Definitely the bright spot for NCL.
Very good entertainment for a cruise ship. We thoroughly enjoyed the Toby Beau group.
