The ports and islands were wonderful. The ship seemed outdated and looked "worn out." The ship was not ready when we got on - rooms weren't ready and the safety drill was lengthy because it was disorganized. People didn't know where to go. The service in general was marginal, and the food service was poor. Many workers didn't seem to know what to do or who was supposed to do it in the restaurants. This seemed to be the case even when it wasn't busy. The food was marginal at best. Breakfast in the sit-down restaurants was the most pleasant and relaxing meal. The buffet lines at breakfast and lunch are a zoo. Getting off at ports was a bit disorganized.

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
The dining rooms were very disorganized and we had several very long waits. Once we waited for nearly 40 minutes and then 5 of us were seated at a table for 4 - very crowded. The service was not very good and the wait staff, except for a very few, were not friendly.

The entertainment options were minimal and not that good.

Service and Staff

One waitress went above and beyond the call when she waited on our table that wasn't even assigned to her.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship and especially the pool area was run down and not appealing. That entire area was not large enough to accommodate everyone and people were scrambling for places to sit down or lay in the sun.

Cabin / Stateroom

Pros: The islands were beautiful. Hawaii is a photographer's paradise.

Cons: Our experience aboard ship was disappointing.

Recommends Pride of America? No.
