A+ CRUISE

Sail Date: December 01, 2007

Reviewed: 8 years ago

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Balcony

Absolutely beautiful ship. Felt comfortable that everything we need was available to us, including service when needed.

Pros: service, food & beauty of ship

Cons: could have more live music

Recommends Pride of America? Yes!

Ship Quality
Ship was 3 football fields long but very well laid out. We realized as the week went on that there were many signs especially near the stairs & elevators to help. The weather was rainy & they were constantly cleaning especially the walkways. Ship was beautifully decorated thoughout.
Food and Dining
Very easy to have any kind of food you want whenever you want. We tried almost all restaurants. Food excellent everywhere but had a better grade of meat in specialty restaurants where you paid $15 or $20 more. More than enough seating inside & out in general areas & very helpful staff.
Cabin / Stateroom
Room very micely decorated, great water pressure but pillows not comfortable. The steward we had was very prompt in cleaning & left some cute animal shaped towels on bed at times. Had a balcony room which we defintely recommend.
Service and Staff
Gave constant announcements with updates & scheduled events. Newsletter everyday very informative. If we asked where something was, they took us rather than just pointing or giving directions. Servers in all restaurants very polite & friendly. Responded immediately when we had a request.
Entertainment
Great variety of activities. As far as shows, we liked the comedian the best but the crew show was also great. Spent a lot of time in Mardis Gras lounge with good entertainment & dancing. Didn't do any crafts since we were usually gone during day. Enjoyed "making of the ship" presentation.
