It is very obvious the second you set foot on this ship that it is not a ship that was actually designed for Norwegian Cruise Lines. A true Norwegian fan we are, but definitely not of this ship or it's less than desirable attitudes of the staff (most specifically our cabin steward and the obnoxiously rude excursion desk staff). It was most definitely a great trip--but after all, we were in Hawaii--having a great trip had nothing to do with this ship or it's staff. A Norwegian ship is normally very grand and very well put together, but this ship is very comparable to the one time that we actually cruised on a Carnival ship--just far less than our expectation--small areas and very chopped up. Please, if you cruise this ship--don't let the attitudes of the staff and the less than grand appearance and feel of the ship sway you away from Norwegian Cruise Lines--as experienced cruisers and huge Norwegian Cruise fans, this was simply a most disappointing experience--actually a joke as we just couldn't believe that we were on a Norwegian Cruise Line ship. Save your money and book on Carnival or another cruise line for this particular itinerary--just simply not worth the money, a true disappointment. Good Luck to Nowegian Cruise Line America--you have a great deal to learn for sure.

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Sail Norwegian for their freestyle dining and that was the only thing that was not a disappointment on this ship--dining experience was great every night, but we did dine in the restaurants not the dining rooms. SKIP THE FRENCH RESTAURANT--TOOK 2 1/2 HOURS TO GET OUR MEAL AND WERE TOLD THAT THAT WAS WHAT FRENCH DINING WAS ALL ABOUT--GREAT RESPONSE HUH?

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The cruise ship show which included their singers and dancers was great, everything else just very very borderline between average and poor.

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
Horrible attitudes by most of the staff on the ship--particularly the housekeeping staff and the excursion desk staff. Housekeeper was LAZY--would actually ask if we really wanted our service in the evening and just plain lazy--3 cabins of us traveling together and all experienced the same. Might as well go on deck and talk to the wind rather than trying to talk to the folks at the excursion desk--they were definitely wearing their big attitudes on this ship.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Just simply does not meet the expectation of these Norwegian Cruise Line fans--best to save your money and book on another cruise line for this itinerary.

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
Tiny Tiny Tiny--we had a balcony room and it was the smallest cabin that we have ever experienced--housekeeping staff is a complete joke--one would be better off without them in this case. A TOTAL AND COMPLETE DISAPPOINTMENT!

Pros: Freestyle Dining was Great!

Cons: Ship, Service (Housekeeping and Excursion Desk)

Recommends Pride of America? No.
