Pride not found here!

Sail Date: August 01, 2006

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

We took the time to fly to Hawaii and found overcrowded ships, miserable food quality, arrogant staff, inaccurate clocks, and very limited service. We booked our shore excursions on land at NCL presentation. We found limited number of bookings available on ship when we went to pick up our tickets, and found on board booking staff arrogant and uncooperative in awarding us selections we were told(on land) that we'd get without difficulty since we booked "early". Dining was an experience best described below.

Pros: Beverage Card

Cons: Dining Choices

Recommends Pride of America? No.

Cabin / Stateroom
Ship Quality
Confusing layout of stairwells, inaccurate clocks on elevators.
Food and Dining
Food in buffet was generic at best. Cappucino machine inoperative on half of the buffet service lines. Salt and pepper shakers reversed; when asked about the confusion, crew member stated there would be too much confusion if proper configuration was used.
Service and Staff
The only area above and beyond would be the level of rudeness and sloppiness associated with the dining, embarkation, and courtesy extended during this cruise.
