Our trip was over Thanksgiving sailing. After reading so many negative reviews I was pleasantly surprised with the amazing staff and the food. On Thanksgiving they had fresh roasted Turkey that they were carving. I ate two dinners that day...one in the Buffet line and one in the Dining room. We requested the same waiter the entire trip in the same dining room at 7pm. Every night the table was waiting for us. Our room was always cleaned every time we returned to it. After eating off the ship and spending $85 for burgers with the family, the food on the ship was well worth the savings. In my opinion there is no other way to see Hawaii for the first time. We also rented cars at all the islands and did take a taxi in Hilo instead of waiting for the shuttle. My only complaint was the room size. Be careful because we had three people in one room with three lower beds. There was NO room at all. The best rooms would have been with an upper birth and two lowers if one is available. We easily adapted due to the ambiance of Hawaii but would not make that mistake again. Instead of dwelling on our small quarters we opted to stay out of our room and enjoy Hawaii and use our room to crash at the end of the day! We loved this cruise and the staff really went out of their way to help...especially when your child locked us out of our room! Go on this cruise...don't sweat the small stuff and get out and really enjoy all the time you have in Hawaii.

Pros: Staff

Cons: Room size
