A Great Cruise

Sail Date: February 18, 2007

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

The ship was great. The Captain was surprisingly young, but very professional and capable. All of the service people were great. The ship was very clean.
I prefer a more formal atmosphere in the dining rooms. Open seating was o.k.
The policy on tipping needs revamping. I suggest, raise prices $50 to $100, don't even mention tipping, pay the employees according to their due. If I wish to tip special people, I will do so.

Pros: The opportunity to visit four Hawaiian Islands and only unpacking once.

Cons: Cost of on-board drinks and the excursions were excessive.

Recommends Pride of Aloha (RETIRED)? Yes!

Nawiliwili, Kauai
The tour of the crater and the backroads was excellent.
Kailua-Kona, Hawaii
The Kona coffee, then and now was excellent.

Hilo, Hawaii
Kahului, Maui
The crater tour and the luau were both great. The Luau was slightly over priced.
