Had a great time!

Sail Date: March 01, 2008

Reviewed: 8 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

We had a fabulous time with the Hula and crafts, making different kinds of lei's, and the entertainment at night was really good! Loved the "Freestyle" magazine that told what was happening and when, and kept us entertained while on board. I especially loved the specialty drinks at poolside--still want the ingredients for the Kiri loco! It was fabulous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pros: Entertainment and crafts

Cons: Pools too small to accommodate so many people

Recommends Pride of Aloha (RETIRED)? Yes!

Cabin / Stateroom
Stateroom was great! Bigger than I had thought it would be. Our staff person did not check the paper/information folder, but that was the only thing lacking.
Ship Quality
Big enough ship, although others told us it was small, but for our first cruise it was great! Very clean and easy to find everything.
Food and Dining
Food was good, but small in quantity, although you really did get enough to eat. The wait staff was happy to bring more if you desired as well, but they were quite slow---took at least 1 1/2 hours to have dinner and most of the time took longer than this and this made it hard if you wanted to see some entertainment in the evening since there was no scheduled meal times and without reservations, you were forced to eat later or get there when doors opened at 5:30.
Service and Staff
We met so many nice staff on board we felt like they were part of our family on board! The manager at the restaurant was the most help when trying to get our dining times arranged or changed!
Entertainment
Wonderful! Sonny was fabulous with all the old time songs!
