Pride "Shame" of Aloha

Sail Date: May 01, 2006

Reviewed: 10 years ago

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Oceanview

The ship was dirty. Our room smelled of urine. The bedding was filthy and smelled like it had not been changed, ever. The shower curtain was black from mold. One of the two electrical outlets in our room didn't work. Food was Denny's quality or worse. Windows were smeared with oil from someone else's forehead looking out them.

Pros: You're in Hawaii!

Cons: Dirty ship, Bad food, Bad Service, Forced tipping

Ship Quality
Ship could be nice but it was dirty, dirty, dirty!
Food and Dining
Denny's quality food or worse. Long lines to eat supper every night, even though many tables were empty inside. It took three hours to eat supper beacuse service was so slow. Out of entrees even though they were on the menu. Every time we got a chance we ate off the ship. Waiter "forgot" about my french toast one morning... I never did get it.
Cabin / Stateroom
Dirty, smelly and not very comfortable. Room service was non-existant. Upon arrival when we told the room steward that our pillows smelled bad, she asked, "what do they smell like?"
Service and Staff
We did find a few that were nice and very willing to help. I can think of three out of the 900 on board.
Entertainment
We were told entertainment was good but by the time we finished our three hour suppers, most of the entertainment was over.
