Ship: Paul Gauguin (RETIRED) Reviewed: 7 years ago
My wife and I celebrated our honeymoon by doing a back-to-back-to back cruise on the n Paul Gauguin. It was an experience of a lifetime. We flew from LA via Air New Zealand. It was great both ways. The first cruise began December 14, 2002, which was a regular 7 night voyage. Everything was super - the staff is the best we've ever encountered. We enjoyed the beautiful Tahitian people, their way of life, and the beautiful "Gauguins", the ship's most beautiful ladies. They were precious. The sites and activities were abundant. The second week was Christmas week. It was fabulous - everything was perfect. At the end of the second week, the hotel director, Philippe, asked us if we would like to stay on for a third week - New Year's week, as there was a cancellation.Imagine, we could stay in our chosen balcony cabin one more week and enjoy the best cuisine and hospitality anyone could ask for. New Year's cruising is something we do every year and this was the best by far. The warmth and tenderness of the crew was outstanding. Best staff on the high seas.I would recommend this experience to all.Bruce E.F.
