Just got off the ship 29th Aug. Everything was fine on board, but nothing special. Unfortunately some passengers boarded with the flu (maybe they weren't aware they had the symptoms). But some knew they were unwell and didn't go to the medical Centre as they didn't want to get quarantined. Selfish. Best entertainment by a long way is the Highly Strung Orchestra. Don't miss them. Repertoire and enthusiasm endless.
Just got back from 7 night cruise from Brisbane to Cairns. Had a fantastic time. We had our two kids with us age 11 & 13 and they thoroughly enjoyed the kids club and new friends they made. The cabin with window was comfortable for the 4 of us. Stackla and Rati serviced our room 4235 twice daily and did an amazing job.
The food was great. Good variety at THE PANTRY and the restaurants were classy and the food delightful. Pablo and his crew of entertainers were awesome. It was our first cruise as a family and we wished that the cruise was longer. I have already booked our next cruise for 2018.
Had a really great cruise. Totally different to pacific dawn which was the only other ship I'd been on. Bit smaller and not as much walking from one end to the other Oasis deck was a lot more fun with a pool and plenty of seats. Had tap beer which I love Only real negative was the sail away and theme nights which weren't great and way too crowded in the small areas they had them in.
We loved our holiday.
Smoking areas were way too small & very little seating provided.
However Aria does not quite have the same atmosphere as sister ship Dawn.
will cruise P&O again.... maybe on one of the bigger ships though
We had a horror run on this ship. Our toilet leaked twice, our fridge leaked once and our roof leaked once. We shared our room with a noisy fan for nearly 1/3rd of our trip to dry the carpets.
If it wasn't for some of the great staff in the bars, restaurants and pantry it would have been a terrible cruise.
Overall my partner and I still enjoyed our holiday I just think we will start looking into some newer ships
We were on the Aria back in May 2017 for a 14 day the Mutiny on the Bounty Cruise . It was our first cruise . The Aria was just the right size of ship to go on if you are going on a first cruise .The cabins are small but enough size considering you don't spend a lot of time in them . Room stewards were excellent in keeping our room tidy . They attended twice a day and often left chocolates and a towel animal on our bed . We also had an itinerary program left on our bed daily featuring the next days activities . There are great bars and shows . The food was awesome and the theme nights were fantastic . The captain and crew did a great job in looking after all of its passengers . We were always well informed of any weather changes . My husband and I found the overall experience amazing and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this ship to anyone.
I went on the pacific aria for a friends wedding and it was just simply amazing, I had only been on the pacific dawn. I would recommend this ship for couples and friends travelling together, I loved the boutique feel of this ship and the food was superb, I couldn’t have faulted it. Entertainment was really good as well as daily activities. The beds were seriously the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept on, on a cruise. If you are needing a fridge I’d recommend booking balcony or higher as oceanview and interior do not have these. I thought I wasn’t going to enjoy it being such a small ship, I honestly just love everything about it, the dome is smaller but I find it much nicer.. For the smokers, the smoking areas are quite small, but that wasn’t really an issue, these are located outside the dome and on deck six. Shopping is pretty standard on all of p&o a fleet, casino was great and modern pokie machines. The adults only section has its own pool which is great, I can’t fault this ship, if you’re debating about booking on the pacific aria I urge you to do so. I have booked my wedding onboard for August next year as I loved the ship so much!
We had a great time on the Aria. This was my 5th cruise. We have always gone on bigger ships but we found the size of the Aria to be perfect. She is an older ship but still much younger than my own home and workplace. For a budget line P&O deliver a good package as food, entertainment and accomodation was much cheaper than I could do anywhere on land.
Most of our cruise was spent in the spa club which was well worth the price of admission. The Aria has a very large spa club for the size of the ship. In future when we cruise on this ship we will go straight to the spa desk and book in as soon as we board.
We loved the ship so much we have booked 3 upcoming cruise on her sister ship, the Eden, disembarking from our home town. We love cruising and plan on cruising 2 or 3 times a year for as long as possible.
Love how there are so many different areas to relax, eat and have a drink .
Service was fantastic !!!!! Staff couldn't do enough and always friendly . We got the opportunity to do the full access tour of the ship the very first time they had done it for the Pacific Aria . That was my favorite part of the cruise !!! If you can , DO IT !!!!!
Love love love the Aria !!!! ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️
Enjoyed the 12 day cruise to Fiji on the Aria.
Cabin was spacious and clean although showing some wear and tear. Beds and pillows were comfortable.
Bathroom had shower over bath, some rust on taps but fully functional.
It took a little while to work out the layout of the ship but we quickly learned to go up to 8 to go down to 6 or 7. Entertainment staff were great and there was always something happening.
Only used the Pantry a couple of times, it was OK. DragonLady and Angelos were very nice restaurants. Waterfront was nice, some meals weren't quite what I expected but not necessarily bad. At times I felt they were trying a little too hard to be gourmet and not always getting it right.
Wait staff in restaurants and bars were friendly and efficient. We spent a lot of time in the adult only pool area at the rear of the ship, very small bar but it had what was needed.
Overall I was pleasantly surprised by the Aria and would definitely consider sailing on her again.
Cruised to Hamilton Island on 27th February 2017. Great Ship, Great Crew, Loved the Pantry. Would defs recommend. I think Aria is in the same class as Royal Caribbean. Will cruise again on it for sure.
After having a pretty bad experience last cruise we decided to give this ship another shot. I regretted it. The air conditioning never worked in our room and the room was 26-28 degrees every day. Slightly cooler at night.
This affected a few rooms and some were fixed. Unfortunately our suite never got fixed.
The staff were lovely as always but it couldn't make up for the heat sadly.
