Review summary

This ship was coming off a transatlantic reposition and that must have led to staffing issues and quality control. I have been on 30 Royal cruises and i have never seen such dysfunction as the 1st day. Long waits for drinks bars understaffed slow bartenders. Food quality was below Golden corral standard. Terrible cuts of meat. Even had pasta at a specialty restaurant that was below chef boyrdee quality. Still a great ship with plenty to do but this sailing was off

The good quality in the buffets solarium and park cafe have really slipped on Royal. They are cutting corners and costs at every turn and it shows in everything from meats to even cheap knockoff cereals.

I did both the transatlantic and the 3-day cruise afterwards. The reason that the lines were long getting off the ship is because the face recognition system stopped working. So it took a little bit longer to get people off the ship. After everyone was off the ship. The coast card comes on and inspects the ship. But because of the delay with the face recognition machine, it also delayed the Coast guard.
