Cruise was very good, except food was barely marginal. Every steak was 3rd rate, and food was poor quality.

Review summary

Entertainment was first rate. I would give the ship 5 stars, except the food quality was very bad.

I do NOT like to complain, the food was 3rd rate. The staff was very helpful, and we really enjoyed the cruise. Some how, they must have cut their food budget way too low.

Hard to believe..

Was on the freedom last year...food was awful...waiter told us RCCL gets most everything pre-packaged and frozen...rarely is anything prepared fresh...she said the wait staff is upset about it as well...

LABrown66    8 years ago

Agree, it's just mass produced banquet food...very blah

Thank you ghiagal My husband would have been heartbroken

They do on one night- it is one the menu photos on the link I posted - maybe night 5 .

idalia1960    8 years ago

On the Oasis do they no longer offer free lobster on the menus.

ghiagal    8 years ago

It would be a logistics nightmare to redo menus, ordering and kitchen staff training every week

ghiagal    8 years ago

No they change the daily offerings on the side bottom based on what port you are at that day. Otherwise em they keep them the same

My bf was under the impression the menues change every cruise.

Milo this is the new menu

ghiagal    8 years ago

Milo the main dining menu has a lot of options, even the pickiest of our group found things they were happy with.

Its funny that the author of this thread has no other past cruise experience. Only 1 cruise and that was taken on the Oasis. Yet they slam the food?

deboftheseas    8 years ago

I only remember them doing Indian, my brother in law loved it, they couldn't bring him enough

milo23    8 years ago

Anything else they'll make? I'm a picky eater so any suggestions that they'll make? Anything Italian? Seafood? Thanks

benandbindu    8 years ago

Thanks deb.. Ive heard its good.. Its our first time on a cruise and im sure our moms would love to have some Indian food during the week. 😀😀 Thanks for the tip👍👍

deboftheseas    8 years ago

hey Ben and Bindi, ask your servers for Indian dishes, they'll get you awesome food from the crew kitchen, authentic Indian cuisine, they are so happy to do this for you, I promise!

The food is great in The Park Café in Central Park, avoid The Windjammer Buffet, long long lines and Johnny Rockets has free breakfasts on Boardwalk. the dining rooms are fine, some people expect way too much
