Fun Cruise

Sail Date: August 01, 2015

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The Oasis was a fascinating cruise.  Very different from many ships we've cruised on.  Lots to do, good food and entertainment.  Wish there were more ports to visit, but I guess being such a huge vessel it's difficult to get into most ports.  Big Smile

Cabin / Stateroom
Would book balcony facing the water next time. We wanted to see what all the fuss was about Central Park. Nice, but wouldn't do it again. Was a little disappointed that there wasn't a coffee pot in room. We always get a coffee pot on our other cruises.
Embarkation and Disembarkation
For the amount of people, very orderly and done well.
Ship Quality
Always clean, very interesting design.
Destinations and Excursions
Not too keen on the private "island".
Onboard Activities
For a cruise ship, lots of activities.
Enjoyed the shows, wish the comedy club was larger to accommodate more people. The bookings are difficult, didn't know I had to book online, couldn't see many shows.
Service and Staff
Very nice people always looking to help.
Food and Dining
Not a big foodie on cruises, but some food at the buffet I could not eat. Need to up their game on the buffet. Not large enough, tables and chairs cramped and one issue was that we had to wait online and when they had a table for 8 would ask anyone on the line if there was a group of 8. What they should have said if the first in line wouldn't mind sitting together.
Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida
Quick and easy.
Labadee (Cruiseline Private Island)
Not really interested in it, unless you like the beach. It's great for people who don't have the beach close by, but we live in Florida and can get to the beach in 10 minutes.
Falmouth, Jamaica
Shops by the boat nice, but wouldn't recommend leaving that area. Walked the way out to read the history posted, but took one look at the outside and bolted back in.
Cozumel, Mexico
Always love Cozumel, booked it because it's one of the ports.
