Never Again

Sail Date: October 01, 2012

Reviewed: 3 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

I have never been on a cruise with so many mistakes and such a lack of caring by the staff. Please read on to see just some of the problems. Diamond Club was tucked away in a musty, windowless and viewless bar. Ship does not stop in Caymans as advertised. Ship does not offer cooking classes as advertised.

Pros: Specialty Restaurants/Central Park

Cons: Logistical incompetence

Recommends Oasis of the Seas? No.

Ship Quality
Oasis is big but one would expect to see so much more for the added size. Central Park area is nice.ough. Not much else that was considered an upgrade from Freedom Class. Lots of downgrades though.
Food and Dining
Ate breakfast in formal dining room once. One couple did not get meal until the rest of us were done eating. Table next to us was seated after us and got their meals before the one couple even though the same item was orde3red. No apologies from staff - just excuses. Asketd for a table for two for our anniversary. Got put at a table for eight. Ate at a specialty restaurant and asked for a red wine from our pre-paid wine package. Got presented a bill after dinner for the wine and advised that the wine we had was not on the wine package.
Cabin / Stateroom
Staterooms are the same as always. One upgrade is that there is a night lighting system int he bathroom - nice.

Ordered roses and champagne to be in the room when we arrived for our anniversary. neither was there when we got to the room. Roses arrived two hours after we did. Champagn did not come until we I called to complain and after we had set sail. No apologiews and no refund.
Service and Staff
Lots of excuses for everything. Diamond Club concierge is only at desk for threee hours a day. Turned in vouchers for free internet minutes - never made it to my bill.
Did not get to see Hairspray as lead actress was very sick. No understudy. Resceduled many performances toward end of cruise and booked us at the same time we were already booked for specialty restaurant - sloppy work.
