Great Cruise, phenomenal ship

Sail Date: May 12, 2012

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Suite

The ship is incredible. Amazing number of options to fill your day.

Also, upgrade to the Romance package - for $200 you get a bottle of champagne, muffins, 2 very nice robes, a bouquet of flowers, and canapes & dessert tray on the 2 gala nights.

Pros: Suite was amazing & spacious

Cons: hot food tapas options at Vintages and lack of decent shopping options in Cozumel & Jamaica

Recommends Oasis of the Seas? Yes!

Service and Staff
Only person to annoy us was out waiter at Chops. I had bought a pricey Italian red wine & a nice Napa white wine the night before at Vintages, drank half, saved the other half to finish at Chops. Incredibly, the waiter asked us 3 times if I was sure I wanted to finish our bottles of wine.

Another negative, it seems every time you are on line in the Guest Services area and one of the Guest Services workers comes out to help people waiting on the line, they seem to go to the back of the line instead of helping those at the front of the line who've been waiting the longest. very annoying practice.
Ship Quality
Amazing ship & design! Central Park is the best

Many options...hard to go back to the smaller ships
Food and Dining
The food at 150 was the best. Next best was the sushi restaurant. Giovannis & Chops were equally good (better filet at Giovanni's, amazing veal chop at Chops). Chef Table was very good, not as good as on the inaugural launch and a step below 150 in Central Park. Vintages has great wine options and cold tapas but the hot tapas seem stale, pre-made/microwaved. Definitely less than stellar than on the inaugural cruise. Head to the Champagne bar for great spirits options.
Cabin / Stateroom
If you can get a junior suite or higher do so - more space and a shower tub! Great attendant too!

Too many options! In a nice way
